Almost twenty years ago, our founder arrived in Extremadura. Not as a tourist, not on a work contract, but drawn by something harder to explain. The light. The pace. The sense that this was a place where life was still lived properly.
What followed was a journey that most Americans only dream about. A first property purchase, nerve-wracking, bureaucratic, and ultimately transformative. A renovation that taught more about Spanish building traditions than any guidebook could. A community that slowly became home. And eventually, a family.
